One of the main waterline breaks that ruptured earlier today near the downtown Houston area has impacted portions of the Sheldon community.
Following a conference call with city officials tonight, it was determined that many of our students and families are being impacted by these water issues. Sheldon ISD administrators have decided to close all campuses and district offices on Friday, Feb. 28, including all after-school activities.
According to information from city officials, we are aware of the following communities that have been affected by the water boil notice: Edgewood Village; Parkway Mobile Home Estates; portions of Ralston Acres along Ticonderoga, John Ralston Road and Robert E. Lee Road; Beaumont Place; Liberty Lakes; Hampton Oaks; and Greensbrook/Kings Lake.
