Dean of Instruction-Meikka Jackson

Hello! I’m Meikka Jackson, your new Dean of Instruction, and I’m thrilled to join this vibrant school community. A proud Houston native, I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Houston-Downtown and Prairie View A&M University. With over 20 years of experience in education, and 4 of those being in administration, I have dedicated myself to fostering inclusive, engaging learning environments.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, riding motorcycles, and motivating others to be their best selves.
My top priority is to create a positive and safe learning environment for all students. I believe that success thrives when teachers, parents, and students work together. This year, we’ll collaborate to design growth-oriented, student-centered solutions while embracing laughter, love, and learning along the way.
I’m excited for the journey ahead and look forward to making lasting memories with our school community!
